1. Consider adopting a basset hound from a rescue organization. There are a number of rescue bases – as Basset Hound Rescue, Basset Hound Rescue League and All Bassets Cherished – dedicated to the breed. These organizations have puppies and adult dogs for adoption. While some of the animals have been abandoned or abused, people give to the public rescue dogs of a group of reasons.
